The evening finished with a beautiful rendition of 'For Good' (Wicked) and a group song 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough'. Wednesday 1 April 2026 Environment and Sustainability Week 2026 We held our inaugural environment and sustainability week from the 16th-20th March. The week was full of exciting activities from listening to an inspiring talk from a man who had climbed to the top of Everest; being shown by FloodRe staff, using an interactive model through which water was poured, how to protect our houses; using computer modelling to design a floodproof garden; to using specialist kits to find the dirtiest place in a room with an expert from the British Damage Management Association (BDMA). These were just some of the many activities and workshops our students and local primaries enjoyed. There was also a series of expert keynote speakers from both Universities and Industry who gave talks to our older students. Careers talks from green industry experts and practical biodiversity projects were held daily. On Friday 20th March ELDC's sustainability bus and the BDMA and FloodRe's flood mobile were parked in QEGS carpark and as well as our students visiting them members

Friday 20 March 2026 Y9 Netball fixture vs Banovallum Banovallum were the opponents for QEGS for their Coastal & Wolds fixture on Wednesday 18th March at home. QEGS had a great start with lots of turnover & some great shooting, leading 10-1 at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter was very disappointing (2-2) with lots of mistake & missed shots. The team talk at half time was very positive & the girls' performance improved although there were still some inconsistencies. The final quarter was much better & the QEGS team finished as winners 21-8.
