The years 8 & 10 netball teams had their second games of the Coastal & Wolds League on Wednesday.

John Spendluffe from Alford travelled to QEGS for the games & just before we were about to start we had a rain shower, which meant the courts were not ideal.

The year 8 team started well, with the defence not allowing any ball through to goal. QEGS were leading 6-0 at the end of the first quarter & continued to dominate throughout the second quarter with the attack picking up the pace. Half time score 18-1. The second half continued  very similarly, even with players rotating positions & substitutes coming on. The game finished 35-2

QEGS year 10 team also started well, their through court attack punishing the John Spendluffe team, resulting in a 7-1 lead at quarter time. Changes were made by both teams & QEGS found it a little more difficult, but were leading 13-4 at half time. A tactical talk at half time & some positional changes improved play again in the third quarter & QEGS extended their lead to 18-4. John Spendluffe subsequently made changes in the third quarter break, resulting in the closest quarter, QEGS only winning that 4-3, but with a final score of 22-7.
